Terms of Service

1. What ShelfSpace is
ShelfSpace is a place to display a collection and share one link. It is not a marketplace, an auction house, or a payment service. We never hold or transfer money between users, and we do not host messages between users.
2. Your account
You must be old enough to consent to this agreement where you live. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Usernames that impersonate another person or brand may be reclaimed, and usernames inactive for 30 days or more may be released.
3. Your shelf and your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, resize, and process that content solely to operate ShelfSpace — for example, generating share cards or removing a photo's background.
Purchase prices you record are private to you. They are never shown on your public page and are not shared with other users.
4. Contributing to the catalog
If you submit a photo or catalog information for shared use, you confirm that you took the photo or hold the rights to it, and you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and modify it as part of the catalog. Contributors are credited on the figure page. You may ask us to remove your contribution at any time.
Do not submit AI-generated depictions of characters, images you found elsewhere, or anything you do not have the right to share.
5. Verification badges are evidence, not authentication
Badges describe what an account demonstrated at a point in time — that a photo was submitted and reviewed, or that a serial code was recorded and is unique on this platform. They are not an authenticity determination. We do not inspect items physically and cannot tell you whether something is genuine.
6. Trading between users
Trades are peer-to-peer, off-platform, and at your own risk. ShelfSpace verifies evidence, not authenticity.
Any trade you arrange is between you and the other collector. We are not a party to it, we do not escrow anything, and we cannot recover items or money. Use your own judgement, and report accounts that concern you.
7. Cost
ShelfSpace is free. There is no subscription, nothing to buy, and no payment details are collected. Every shelf material, prop and appearance setting is available to everyone.
Some links to marketplaces are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something after following one. They never change what you are shown, what a listing costs you, or where anything appears on the site — and they are marked where they appear.
If we introduce paid features later, we will say so before they start and anything already on your shelf will stay usable.
8. Estimated values
Where shown, estimated values are derived from public marketplace listings and are informational only. They are not appraisals, not offers, and not investment advice. Do not rely on them for financial decisions.
9. Things you may not do
- Impersonate another person, collector, or brand.
- Upload photos that are not yours, or claim items you do not hold.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy other people's shelves or the catalog.
- Harass other users, or use ShelfSpace to arrange fraud.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, and we may remove content without notice where we believe it is unlawful or harmful.
10. Availability and liability
ShelfSpace is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses arising from trades between users, from reliance on estimated values, or from data loss beyond our reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion removes your profile, shelf, links, and uploads, and cancels any active subscription. Some records may persist briefly in backups.
12. Trademarks
Product and brand names shown in the catalog belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those products. ShelfSpace is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
13. Changes
We will post material changes here before they take effect. Continuing to use ShelfSpace after that means you accept them.
